The painting “Flaming tokens of worship. Memory and Sacrifice” is a reminder that art has the power to recall, honor, and keep alive the memory of tragic events. Through the tokens of worship, the wax in the color of the fire, the cross, and the thorns, my work connects the pain of sacrifice with the timelessness of memory and serves as a tribute to the victims of the Hortiatis Holocaust, which occurred on September 2, 1944.
Ο πίνακας «Φλογισμένα Τάματα, Μνήμης και Θυσίας» είναι μια υπενθύμιση ότι η τέχνη έχει τη δύναμη να ανακαλεί, να τιμά και να κρατά ζωντανή τη μνήμη των τραγικών γεγονότων. Μέσω των ταμάτων, του κεριού στο χρώμα της φωτιάς, του σταυρού και των αγκαθιών, το έργο μου συνδέει τον πόνο της θυσίας με τη διαχρονικότητα της μνήμης, και λειτουργεί ως φόρος τιμής στα θύματα του Ολοκαυτώματος του Χορτιάτη που συνέβη στις 2 Σεπτεμβρίου 1944.
