Μέσα από τη νέα του φωτογραφική έκθεση, «Το Άγιον Στάλαγμα», ο φωτογράφος Νίκος Μπασιάς καταγράφει έναν κόσμο όπου η φωτιά του καζανιού, οι άνθρωποι της παρέας και η πρώτη σταγόνα της πρωτόρακης συνθέτουν μια αυθεντική εμπειρία πολιτισμού. Με αφορμή την έκθεση, που φιλοξενείται στη LOTOS Open Art Gallery στη Σούγια, μιλά για τη μυσταγωγία των παραδοσιακών ρακοκάζανων, τη δύναμη της συντροφικότητας και την ανάγκη να διασωθεί, μέσα από τη φωτογραφία, μια ζωντανή πλευρά της κρητικής πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς.
Tsikoudia is more than a traditional Cretan spirit; it is a reason for people to gather, connect, and share. Through his new photography exhibition, “The Holy Drop”, photographer Nikos Basias captures a world where the fire beneath the still, the people gathered around it, and the very first drops of the fresh distillate come together to create an authentic cultural experience. On the occasion of the exhibition, hosted at LOTOS Open Art Gallery in Sougia, he speaks about the ritual of the traditional raki distilleries, the power of companionship, and the importance of preserving, through photography, a living part of Crete’s cultural heritage.
