BIOGRAPHY
Nikos Basias born in Athens and made studies at the Physics Department of the University of Athens. Lives in Chania and after a constructively engaged several years as a tourism business owner, now works as a professor of physics in High School. From his student years began with a Zenith E, a tripod and a bellows the journey of the senses and photography. On the way, in recent years he was captivated by the capturing and editing videos to rejoin in 2012 in the fascinating world of photography and its processing. He has attended international photographic seminars and lectures.
In 2013 he founded the Photo Group «Orastes» teaching the magic world of photography to students from Kounoupidiana School and organizes their first Photography Exhibition with theme «Five Senses» on March 17, 2014 at “Sampionara Gate” or “The gate of the sand” one building of 16th century. In May 2015 organizes the 2nd Photography Exhibition of the Photo Group «Orastes» with theme «Games of Light», at “Sampionara Gate” or “Gate of the sand”. In May 2017 organizes Photography Exhibition with theme «Exarthseis – Addictions», at “Sampionara Gate” or “Gate of the sand”.
In 2013 participates as a judge in “OUR CRETE” Photography Competition 2013 organized from the facebook page “I love Crete” that has 280.000 members.
In 2017 his is judge in «Photographic – Literature Competition N. KAZANTZAKIS».
Ηe has participated in over than 45 exhibitions, in the Netherlands, Romania, Serbia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Britain, India and Greece.

In May 2014 participates in pan-European Competition of Photography and Painting on «Plants for people and people for the plants” organized by PLANTA EUROPA FOUNDATION and wins the First European Prize.
In October 2014 participates in “2nd Olympic Photo Circuit 2014” and was awarded with «FIAP Honorable Mention».
In October 2015 wins the «3rd Panhellenic Prize», in the «7th Panhellenic Competition – Dimitris Letsios».
In October 2015 was awarded with the «PSA Gold Medal» of Photographic Society of America, in the International Competition «3rd Olympic Photo Circuit 2015″.
On Jenuary 2016 was awarded with Two «GPU Ribbons» in «PhotoArt PRAGUE International Salon 2016».
On February 2016 was awarded with «FIAP Honorable Mention» in «4th GREEK PHOTOGRAPHIC CIRCUIT 2016″.
On February 2016 was awarded with «PSA Gold Medal» and «PSA Bronze Medal» in the “1st Hyvinkaa International Exhibition of Photographic Art 2016”.
On March 2016 was awarded with «Salon Bronge Medal» in the International Competition “NSAPK CIRCUIT 2016 – 1st Circular Exhibition of Photography», in the category «Portrait».
On April 2016 was awarded with the «Diploma from Salon» in the «1-st Eastern European circuit – 2016 (Ukraine-Moldova-Georgia)», in the category «Landscape» in the Salon “Carpathian Drag – 2016” (Ukraine).
On May 2016 was awarded with «Gold Members Award» and TWO «Honourable Mention» in the International Competition «Great British Small Print Circuit».
On June 2016 was awarded with «PSA Honorable Mention» in the International Competition «9th INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHIC SALON VARNA 2016» in the category «Monochrome».
On October 2016, in the International Competition «PHOTO WINNER 2016 Grand Exhibition» that was organezed in Serbia, was awarded with three prizes! With «PCA Gold Medal» in the category «Travel», with «Salon Honorable Mention» in the category «Color» and with «PCA Honorable Mention» in the category «Photojournalism».
On October 2016, in the International Competition «NOWRUZ 2016 INTERNATIONAL SALON OF PHOTOGRAPHY» that was organezed in Tajikistan, awarded with «Salon Honorable Mention» .
On February 2017, in the «5th GREEK PHOTOGRAPHIC CIRCUIT 2017 » was awarded with «Judges Choice 3″.
On March 2017, in the International Competition «GREAT BRITISH SMALL PRINT CIRCUIT 2017″ that was organezed in England, awarded with «Honorable Mention» in the category «Travel».
Also on March 2017, in the International Competition «2nd EXHIBITION MYSTIC 2017″ that was organezed in Serbia, awarded with «Salon Honorable Mention» in the category «Contrast».
Indicates amateur, “erasitehnis” that in Greek also means “lover of art”.

ΝΙΚΟΣ ΜΠΑΣΙΑΣ
Ο Νίκος Μπασιάς γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα και σπούδασε στο Φυσικό Τμήμα του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Ζει στα Χανιά και μετά από ένα εποικοδομητικό πέρασμα αρκετών χρόνων ως ιδιοκτήτης τουριστικών επιχειρήσεων, τώρα εργάζεται ως καθηγητής Φυσικής στην Δευτεροβάθμια Εκπαίδευση. Από τα φοιτητικά του χρόνια ξεκίνησε με μια Zenith E , ένα τρίποδο και μια φυσούνα το ταξίδι των αισθήσεων και της φωτογραφίας. Στην διαδρομή, τα πρόσφατα χρόνια τον κέρδισε ή λήψη και επεξεργασία video για να επανέλθει το 2012 στον συναρπαστικό κόσμο της φωτογραφίας και της επεξεργασίας της. Έχει παρακολουθήσει διεθνή φωτογραφικά σεμινάρια και διαλέξεις.
Το 2013 ιδρύει την Φωτογραφική Ομάδα «Οραστές» όπου διδάσκει τον μαγικό κόσμο της φωτογραφίας, σε μαθητές του Γυμνασίου Κουνουπιδιανών και διοργανώνει την πρώτη τους Έκθεση Φωτογραφίας με θέμα «Πέντε Αισθήσεις» στις 17 Μαρτίου 2014, στην «Πύλη Σαμπιονάρα» ή «Πύλη της Άμμου», ένα κτίριο του 16ου αιώνα. Τον Μάϊο του 2015 διοργανώνει την Δεύτερη Έκθεση Φωτογραφίας της Φωτογραφικής Ομάδας «Οραστές», με τίτλο «Παιχνίδια Φωτός» στην «Πύλη Σαμπιονάρα» ή «Πύλη της Άμμου». Τον Μαϊο του 2017 διοργανώνει Έκθεση Φωτογραφίας με θέμα «Exarthseis – Εξαρτήσεις» στην «Πύλη Σαμπιονάρα» ή «Πύλη της Άμμου».
Το 2013 συμμετέχει σαν κριτής στο “OUR CRETE” Photography Competition 2013 το οποίο οργανώθηκε από την σελίδα του facebook “I love Crete” και η οποία έχει 280.000 μέλη.
Το 2017 είναι κριτής στον «Φωτογραφικό – Λογοτεχνικό Διαγωνισμό Ν. Καζαντζάκης».
Έχει λάβει μέρος σε πάνω από 45 εκθέσεις σε Ολλανδία, Ρουμανία, Σερβία, Τατζικιστάν, Ουκρανία, Τσεχία, Βρετανία, Ινδία και Ελλάδα.

Τον Μάϊο του 2014 συμμετέχει σε Πανευρωπαϊκό Διαγωνισμό Φωτογραφίας και Ζωγραφικής με θέμα «Τα φυτά για τον άνθρωπο και ο άνθρωπος για τα φυτά» που διοργάνωσε το PLANTA EUROPA FOUNDATION και αποσπά το Πρώτο Πανευρωπαϊκό Βραβείο.
Τον Οκτώμβριο του 2014 συμμετέχει στον Διεθνή Διαγωνισμό “2nd Olympic Photo Circuit 2014” και βραβεύεται με τον «FIAP Honorable Mention».
Τον Οκτώβριο του 2015 κερδίζει το 3ο Πανελλήνιο Βραβείο στον «7ο Πανελλήνιο Διαγωνισμό Φωτογραφίας – Δημήτρης Λέτσιος».
Τον Οκτώβριο του 2015 βραβεύεται με το Χρυσό Βραβείο «PSA Gold Metal», της Φωτογραφικής Εταιρείας της Αμερικής, στον Διεθνή Διαγωνισμό «3rd Olympic Photo Circuit 2015″.
Τον Ιανουάριο του 2016 βραβεύεται με Δύο «GPU Ribbons» στον Διεθνή Διαγωνισμό «PhotoArt PRAGUE International Salon 2016» στην Τσεχία.
Τον Φεβρουάριο του 2016 βραβεύεται με «FIAP Honorable Mention» στον Διεθνή Διαγωνισμό «4th GREEK PHOTOGRAPHIC CIRCUIT 2016″.

Τον Μάιο του 2016 βραβεύεται με το «Gold Members Award» και ΔΥΟ «Honourable Mention» στον Διεθνή Διαγωνισμό «Great British Small Print Circuit», στην Αγγλία.
Τον Ιούνιο του 2016 βραβεύεται με το «PSA Honorable Mention» στον Διεθνή Διαγωνισμό «9th INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHIC SALON VARNA 2016» που διοργανώνεται στην Βουλγαρία, στην κατηγορία «Ασπρόμαυρο».
Τον Οκτώβριο του 2016 βραβεύεται στον Διεθνή Διαγωνισμό «PHOTO WINNER 2016 Grand Exhibition» που διοργανώνεται στην Σερβία, με τρία βραβεία. Το «PCA Gold Medal» στην κατηγορία «Travel», με το «Salon Honorable Mention» στην κατηγορία «Color» και το «PCA Honorable Mention» στην κατηγορία «Photojournalism».
Τον Οκτώβριο του 2016 βραβεύεται στον Διεθνή Διαγωνισμό «NOWRUZ 2016 INTERNATIONAL SALON OF PHOTOGRAPHY» που διοργανώνεται στο Tajikistan (Τατζικιστάν), με το βραβείο «Salon Honorable Mention».
